At Sugar Feather Farm, our journey began in 2018 when we planted our family roots in Vermont's Green Mountain State. Leaving behind the urban hustle of California, we sought peace and tranquility in nature. Our commitment to preservation, sustainability, and ethical treatment of the land and animals reflects our deep dedication. Caring for our beautiful birds has been humbling, instilling in us a sense of gratitude and responsibility.

With a family of five children, including some with special needs, compassion and empathy are core values for us. This extends to our love for animals, motivating us to preserve vulnerable breeds. Volunteering at our children's school and engaging with community organizations aligns with our desire to make a meaningful difference.

Focusing on breeds featured on the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy list, we play an essential role in preserving and promoting lesser-known varieties. Our dedication to breed conservation is evident in our approach to animal husbandry, emphasizing the significance of each species within our flocks.

While we do not conduct farm tours within our breeding areas or permit handling of the birds, we are committed to transparency. Through our website, we share insight into our practices and the beauty of our breeding stock, capturing and showcasing various stages of our breeding process.
