Olive Egger Chicks

We love the beauty of these birds, egg size, color, and look. Olive Eggers is an exciting mix of chickens that typically lay various shades of green colored eggs. Our Olive Eggers are created by crossing some of our foundation stock of Black Copper Marans, F1 Olive Eggers, Easter Eggers, and Ameraucanas.

The history of Olive Egger chickens is a tale of innovative crossbreeding and a quest for unique egg colors. The term "Olive Egger" refers to a hybrid chicken breed that is specifically bred to lay eggs in various shades of olive or moss green. While Olive Eggers are not recognized as a standardized breed by the American Poultry Association, they have gained significant popularity among backyard chicken keepers and breeders.

We recommend starting baby chicks out with Sugar Feather Farm chick starter for the first 3 weeks, then switching to our Chicken Grower. Use the Grower Feed until they hit maturation (which is when they start to lay) then switch to Sugar Feather Farm Adult Feed.

We highly recommend using the Oil of Oregano in their water daily as a supplement to aid with digestion and overall health.
